Private Dentistry vs NHS Dentistry: Which one is best for you?

Is it time to Start Considering Private Dentistry for Your Family?

Are you tired of waiting weeks or months to see an NHS dentist? Are you dissatisfied with the limited range of treatments and long waiting times for specialist referrals? If so, it may be time to consider private dentistry for your and your family’s dental care needs.

In this article, we’ll explore the differences between private and NHS dentistry and why you should start considering private dentistry. We’ll also introduce you to Spring Dental Practice in Hull, an affordable private dentist near you.

What is Private Dentistry?

Private dentistry is a form of dental care not funded by the National Health Service (NHS). Instead, patients pay for their dental treatments and services out of pocket or through private dental insurance.

Private dentistry offers more treatments and services than NHS dentistry, including cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and orthodontic treatments. Private dentists also offer flexible appointment times and shorter waiting times for specialist referrals.

What is NHS Dentistry?

NHS dentistry is a form of dental care funded by the National Health Service (NHS). Patients pay for their treatments through NHS dental charges or exemptions.

NHS dentistry provides a limited range of treatments and services compared to private dentistry. Patients may also experience longer waiting times for appointments and specialist referrals.

Why Choose Private Dentistry?

There are several reasons why you should consider private dentistry for your family’s dental care needs:

  • A more comprehensive range of treatments: Private dentists offer a broader range of treatments and services, including cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and orthodontic treatments.
  • Flexible appointment times: Private dentists provide flexible appointments that fit your schedule.
  • Shorter waiting times: Private dentists have shorter waiting times for specialist referrals, meaning you can receive treatment sooner.
  • Personalised care: Private dentists offer customised care and attention, taking the time to understand your needs and concerns.

I’m a new patient at the Spring Dental Practice and I’m so glad I registered with them. Everyone I have dealt with has been professional and friendly, from the lovely lady on the reception to Katie the dental therapist and Sorin the dentist. I’ve always been nervous of dental visits but not any more. I had old fillings removed and replaced and I was so relaxed I could have fallen asleep!
