If you’re an NHS existing patient, these fees apply to your dental check-ups and treatment. Bands 1, 2 and 3 differ depending on the level of treatment required, the more advanced, the higher the price.
The fee covers an examination, diagnosis (e.g X-rays), expert dental advice on prevention and a scale and polish if required. For urgent care, a band 1 charge is required, even if you need multiple appointments to complete.
The fee covers everything in band 1, as well as, additional treatment including fillings, root canal work or if more than one tooth is removed.
The fee covers everything in bands 1 and 2 and more advanced treatments such as crowns, dentures and bridges.
